I began my journey in Malaysia, practicing Aikido and have since expanded my practice to include Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo, BJJ and Weaponry.     I’m a 3rd Degree BJJ Black Belt from São Paulo, Brazil. I have been training since 1997, receiving my Black Belt in 2007. I have more than 20 years of experience as an international competitor and over 10 years of experience in teaching BJJ and Grappling as a black belt.

    I’m a 3rd Degree BJJ Black Belt from São Paulo, Brazil. I have been training since 1997, receiving my Black Belt in 2007. I have more than 20 years of experience as an international competitor and over 10 years of experience in teaching BJJ and Grappling as a black belt.

    Since arriving in Australia in 2016, I’ve been actively involved in the BJJ scene as a competitor, coach and a referee. As a competitor, I am better able to understand and help people who want to compete, but I also believe BJJ is a sport that everyone can enjoy even recreationally and it is a great way to keep fit and healthy.

I actively practice gymnastics, Muay Thai and yoga, and strongly believe that continuing to learn new skills plays a huge part in our health and wellbeing. Although Strength training may sound “intense”, it’s completely scale-able and safe for all ages and fitness levels, and I would encourage everybody to give it a go!
